Is there anything more frustrating in golf than a flubbed chip? I think not. It is the one "stinking, little, easy shot" that has led to, I believe, the most broken shafts in the game. If there are other humans in the universe, I suspect many suddenly turn towards Earth at the miserable moment of a flubbed (and by flubbed I mean hitting the shot so fat so that it wobbles drunkenly a few feet ahead or so thin that it scampers across the green like a frightened brush rabbit) chip.
